Oh that cute Mrs. Dewey! She is sitting in front of her own charming “She-Shack” (you’ve heard of a man-cave?) that she helped build. She can do it all! Frequently she can be found kayaking near her home on Washington Island where she also likes to read and relax. Here she is accompanied by her West Highland Terrier, Penny, and reading We Never Asked for Wings by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. I haven’t read this one (yet!) but:  “Vanessa Diffenbaugh blends gorgeous prose with compelling themes of motherhood, undocumented immigration, and the American Dream in a powerful and prescient story about family.” It sounds wonderful. Love seeing our teachers enjoying their summers but can’t wait to see them again when school starts. Happy Reading, Mrs. Dewey!
