Almost every year we read Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor to the fourth grade class. This year we were lucky to have Bennett’s grandmother, Mrs. Berte,  read it aloud to them. Mrs. Berte is a terrific reader and the students were riveted by the story. Some of them commented at the end that it was the best story they ever heard or read. All learned a little about love, perseverance, and why people act the way they do. It was a huge success! If you have never read it, I highly recommend that you do!
