SPINE POETRY CONTEST

Congratulations to the winner of our Spine Poetry Contest: Mary Nora!  Students had a great time using the spines of library books to create a unique poem. They then took a photo of their poem with their iPads and submitted it to the contest (for 4th graders, I took the photo). Here is our winning entry, a tribute to the United States:

We also had two runner-ups: Johnny in second place and Maria in third. Both of these students created poems with both meaning and poetic language:

A big thanks to all those who submitted a poem! Great job, everyone!
