Summer Reading

Here’s an interesting article from The Washington Post recommended by our fabulous computer and math teacher, Sharon Webster. What can parents and teachers do to prevent a summer slide in reading achievement? To start with, parents can make sure their child reads four or five books over the summer-not a huge number and a very attainable goal. Educators can provide summer reading lists and hand out a free book or two. Read on for the rest of the story:
