February is President’s month and we have two special new books that just arrived yesterday.
The first is: Looking at Lincoln by Maira Kalman. This is an inpiring look at the life of Lincoln from his log cabin boyhood, event-filled presidency, to his untimely death. A fabulous new addition to our library.
The second book is a little known story about President Theodore Roosevelt (my personal favorite president). It’s called, The Camping Trip That Changed America by Barb Rosenstock. This is the story of a 1903 camping trip with President Roosevelt and John Muir, of the Muir Woods fame, in California. This camping trip eventually led to the establishment of America’s national park system. Here it is:
Hope you will check them both out soon!
